Being an electrician can be a very hands-on occupation. Not only does the constant overtime a clear reminder of how demanding the work nature is, the projects that keep coming up and those which require maintenance are also telltale signs that an electrician’s job is ever on-demand.
But, as busy as the electrician may be while employed to do work, there are other events in his calendar that he must also take into consideration that add to his to-do list, given their relevance to his work.
Here are the 12 important dates which electricians should have in their calendar:

• Industry Roundtable Events
The National Apprenticeship Week takes place on November yearly.

Lightning is a serious concern among electricians. Being the cause of at least 50 fatalities per year, the lightning is an “underrated killer” of those who work in the electrical field. But it was only until 2001 when a program is developed to raise concern about this nature’s potential murderer—dubbed the “Lightning Safety Awareness Week”.
Specifically aimed on the topic of lightning and its dangers in the workplace, the program is slated to launch every June of any year since which resulted to a reduced casualty from 50 annually to just 30.

5. Electrical Fire Safety Week
There is a dreadful prospect in the idea that more than 50% of the overall cases of house fires are rooted in electricity. Corollary, 9 out 10 of such instances are caused by an electrical product.
In an attempt to reduce this level of accidents, particularly in the household and even in the workplace, the Electrical Safety Week is being launched every November . This is done by educating the people about the safety measures that they can employ against such danger.
6. Electrical Safety Week
The Electrical Safety Week is maybe more oriented towards students rather than practicing electricians that are employed in the field. But it takes experienced workers to educate the children about the real dangers which come with electricity and how they could prevent them from happening. Hence, the relevant participation of qualified electricians in the event.
For 2019, the Electrical Safety Week is slated to launch beginning September 2 until September 6.
7. Atlantic Hurricane Season
